Founded by Brother Ivan Kenndedy, El-Shaddai Community Society is a practical, hands-on non-profitable organization with many programs dealing with a wide range of issues that keep people especially children trapped in poverty from sicknesses, abuse and discrimination, starvation, lack of financial support, and those living in slums.
The 5 main focus of the El-Shaddai Ministry are :-
- Running El-Shaddai 'San Pedro' Shelter Home for the Poorest of the Poor Kids (in Old Klang Road)
- Anti-abortion Campaigns
- Visiting slums and providing monthly rations to abandoned elderly folks
- Venturing into Jungles of Malaysia and giving supplies to more than 60 'Orang Asli' families
- Giving free food, stationaries, books etc through their 'Soup Kitchen' activity to around 200 less fortunate kids and single mothers, in Sentul, monthly.
The El-Shaddai society was one of 2005 nominess for Team Humanitarian organized by The New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd and PricewaterhouseCoopers (NSTP-PwC).
